This quaint 38 room motel sits right on the Kill Devil Hills beach. The Outer Banks Motor Lodge is one of the few original motels still in operation in the OBX.     Very Nice Pool..

    If you want a clean, basic place to sleep & shower on the beach, stay here. If you're looking for a fancy modern hotel, keep looking. Our family of 5 stayed in a 3-queen bed room in June, 2020, and the hotel staff was very friendly. The room was large enough that we did not feel crammed, and the kids could go right onto the beach whenever they wanted. Be aware that other guests use the balcony for smoking (which is allowed.) Rates were very reasonable for the size of the room. Perfect & easy access to the beach and a very nice pool! We had a lot of fun and definitely plan to stay here again!!!

    Oceanfront Access - Amazing Pool!

    Couldn’t have asked for a more relaxing place to spend a couple nights after our wedding. Oceanfront access, amazing pool and very spacious and clean rooms. Laid back for sure. Also it feels very communal amongst all of the guests. Special thank you to Linda the property manager for upgrading us on our honeymoon trip ♥️

    Perfect for a traveling family!

    This was our first time staying here and it was great! The check in process was easy and the front desk clerk was super friendly! We rented an oceanfront king efficiency room. The room was very clean and quite large! The bed was comfortable too. The location of this hotel is amazing. You can walk right out onto the beach from your room (we stayed in room 3, which was ground level). There aren't any dunes to cross over to get to the water, which was awesome. Miller's Restaurant is right across the street and serves up some amazing food. Overall, this was a great stay in the Outer Banks.

  • Will Definitely Be Back..

    We had a wonderful time. The room and grounds were well taken care of and clean. Howie is a gem and Linda was amazing helping me out after I left items by accident. We will definitely be back. We tried to stay an additional night but they were completely booked, we weren’t interested staying anywhere else.

  • Friendly Hosts!

    We had a great time staying for a few days at the Outer Banks Motor Lodge! At check-in, the host was very friendly and we discovered some mutual acquaintances. :) It's right by the beach and has a nice pool area for a quick dip after coming in from the beach. The room was clean and (in our efficiency room) also had a small kitchen with coffee maker, microwave, stove, refrigerator and some cooking utensils so we could cook some of our own meals. I would definitely go back here!

  • Clean and Tidy!

    We stayed here for 2 nights at one of the Beachfront rooms. The place is well kept. The room was clean and tidy. The lady at the reception was sweet and informed us well. We had a happy stay and will definately book this again on our next trip.
